Rochelle will attend SUNY Farmingdale where she will major in Computer Science and Information Systems. She plans to hone her studies with a goal towards becoming a Software Developer creating applications that will help foster children to attain a consistent education.

Rochelle is a member of the National Honor Society, and she is President of STEP (Science Technology Entry Program). Consistent with her STEP activities, Miss Elliott has been active in Code.org where she was a Computer Science Ambassador for young women interested in pursuing STEM studies.

Her role models in school are Mr. Ehrhardt, Mrs. Villatoro, and Mr. Aqueron. Mr. Ehrhardt has helped me through the college process and how to pursue a career, Mrs. Villatoro is like my second mom, and Mr. Aqueron is down to earth and gives good advice about the future, Rochelle noted. Her greatest inspirations outside of school are her two younger sisters, Alyssa and Jazmin. Rochelle credits Emily Prott, whom she works with at Chick-Fil-A, as showing great concern and always willing to offer sound advice about the college process. Rochelle is also grateful to have her grandparents in her life.

The Central Islip Board of Education, Administration, Faculty and Staff congratulate Rochelle and wish her luck on her future endeavors.
