Students at Morrow Elementary School enjoyed participating in a multitude of literacy-based projects during the school's annual PARP (Parents/People As Reading Partners) initiative. Morrow Elementary School Principal, Dr. Neema Coker, noted this year's theme was entitled 'Be A Royal Reader.' Among the many PARP highlights featured throughout January and February was when students and staff hosted guest-readers, including special guests from Central Administration, who shared their stories with the students in virtual mode. Students also participated in writing contests, and celebrated their love for reading during spirit weeks. Dr. Coker acknowledged the many guest readers who helped make this project exciting for students and their teachers, as well as the Morrow families for encouraging their children to read. On behalf of the Central Islip Board of Education, Administration, Faculty and Staff, Superintendent of Schools Ms. Sharon A. Dungee thanks the entire Morrow School Community for presenting innovative and enriching literacy-based activities.
