Morrow 6th Graders Move Up

Morrow Elementary 6th Grade Students celebrated Moving Up on June 16, 2022. Morrow Elementary School Principal, Dr. Neema Coker, welcomed families, friends and staff, then introduced Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Sharon A. Dungee, School Board Vice President Mr. Luis Alcantara, School Board Member Mr. Glenn C. Mitchell, and Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Ms, Leila Holmes, who attended the special ceremony. Students enrolled in the Morrow Elementary Band (under the direction of Mr. Pyle), and the Morrow Elementary Chorus (under the direction of Mrs. Majeski), performed special musical selections from their repertoires before Dr. Coker presented students with special awards. During her remarks, Ms. Dungee asked the students to turn around and acknowledge their families with a round of applause, and Mr. Alcantara congratulated students on their outstanding accomplishments as they prepare to move up to middle school. Dr. Coker also thanked the 6th Grade teachers and 6th Grade Committee for making the event a memorable occasion for the students.
