Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sharon A. Dungee launched a Districtwide Kindness Campaign last year. Now in its second year, the concept of kindness and respect toward others is promoted daily. Students are encouraged to treat and respect others as they would like to be treated and respected, and to perform random acts of kindness for their friends and adults alike. It is imperative that we, as adults, set examples as role models for our children to emulate, and what better way to start than to encourage them to be kind and respectful towards each other, Dr. Dungee explains. Corridors of schools throughout our District convey messages of kindness, and all schools are creative in how they promote kindness.
