Vision and Hearing Services

Vision and hearing services are specialized support programs designed to assist students with visual and auditory impairments. These services aim to provide students with the necessary tools and accommodations to ensure they have equitable access to education and can achieve their fullest potential.

Vision Services:

  1. Assessment and Evaluation: Regular screening and assessments to identify students with visual impairments and determine the extent of their needs.
  2. Individualized Education Plans (IEP): Development of tailored IEPs that outline specific goals, accommodations, and services required for each student.
  3. Assistive Technology: Provision of tools such as magnifiers, Braille materials, screen readers, and other adaptive devices to facilitate learning.
  4. Orientation and Mobility Training: Instruction in navigating the school environment safely and independently, including the use of canes or guide dogs if necessary.
  5. Classroom Accommodations: Adjustments in the classroom setting, such as seating arrangements, lighting, and the use of large print materials or digital resources.

Hearing Services:
