Mission and Vision
To provide additional educational support, advocacy, and resources to address the educational gap for the empowerment of our underserved students and families. This office monitor regulations and rules that apply to all Federal, State and Local Grants ensuring that all expenditures are allowable and aligned within the parameters of the approved grant.
Introduction
The Office of Funded Programs (OFP) was established by Dr. Marie Holdsworth on July 1, 1999. The office is awarded millions of local, state and federal funds each year. These funding streams work in conjunction with the goal to provide a challenging and appropriate education for every student of the Central Islip Union Free School District. The Office of Funded Program works collaboratively with the Business Office, Central Registration, and the Office of Curriculum. The office staff streamline communication regarding fiscal and academic interests to all departments including Bilingual, Health and Athletics, Music and Technology, Special Education, and all academic divisions.
The OFP works collaboratively with the New York Department of Education (NYSED) to foster the execution of Federal, state and locally awarded grants. This collaboration between the Local Education Agency (LEA) and the State Education Agency (SEA) supports the timely submission of reports and required documentation to strengthen the compliance and monitoring efforts of the Central Islip Union Free School District.
