Accessibility on Devices

Support and Guidance

If you need any assistance or guidance with accessibility or support students with accessibility needs please reach out to the Special Education Director assigned to your school.  If you need assistance with accessibility settings on a student device please open a help ticket so a technician can assist.  Please use the links below for specific instructions and device settings

For any assistive technology needs specific to a students 504 or IEP please reach out to the Special Education Department Director in charge of the specific case for additional guidance and support. 

Accessibility Settings & Options

Accessibility settings can be set for any student's iPad or Chromebook on the device itself through the Accessibility Settings.  This is not isolated to Special Education and/or IEP/504 students.  Examples of accessibility options on student devices includes:

  • Visual Impaired

  • Hearing Impaired

  • Audio & Captions

  • Cognitive Assistance

  • Motor and Dexterity

Chromebooks:

Any student in grades 3-12 with a Chromebook can access these settings to meet their individual accessibility needs. There are no restrictions on accessibility settings

iPads:

Any student in grades PREK-2 with an iPad can access these settings to meet their individual accessibility needs. There are no restrictions on accessibility settings
