High School Instrumentalists Entertains at Spring Concert

The Central Islip High School instrumental spring concert took place Wednesday evening and featured an array of entertaining music.

The evening began with Mr. Jerry Ryan’s concert band who performed Alamo March, Fragile, and Steel.

Mr. Kevin Pyle then entered with his symphonic band. The students played Prairie Dances, By Loch and Mountain, and Groovitude.

The jazz band followed with Whiplash, Blue Skies, and Caravan. To close the evening, the wind ensemble filled the stage and showcased Flying High March, Afterlife, and Raging Machines.

Before the wind ensemble’s final piece, senior drum majors Katelyn Reyes and Davian Perez presented gifts to Mr. Pyle and Mr. Ryan on behalf of the senior class as a token of appreciation.
