Alfano Holds Annual Spring Concert

Alfano Elementary School performed the final concert in the 2026 Central Islip spring concert series on Thursday evening at the Reed Middle School auditorium.

Ms. Angelica Zara brought her fourth grade chorus students to the risers for four pieces: Sing, Fly Me to the Moon, Somewhere over the Rainbow with solos from Isabella Reyes, Diana Landaverde, Allison Chicas and Ema Villatoro; and Proud Corazon from Coco.

Ms. Kennedy Burgess’ fourth grade band subsequently performed Old MacDonald Had a Band, Section Features from flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet and trombone/baritone; and Code Name B.A.N.D.

The fifth and sixth grade chorus filled the room with joy while they sang Old MacDonald Had a Farm, Ahrirang with a flute solo from Deklyn Hill,, Count on Me with solos from Angel Robles and Evanyeli Sierra Garcia,, and Seize the Day.

The concert concluded with the fifth and sixth grade band as they delivered Nocturnal Dances, Into the Enchanted Forest with solos from Ayleen Antunez on bells, Eliana Rodriguez on flute and Vernet Salomon on the alto saxophone, Cyclone, and Colliding Visions.
