Baseball Strikes Out Cancer, Defeats Huntington in Thriller

For the second year in a row, the Central Islip High School varsity baseball team hosted its Strike Out Cancer game in partnership with their fundraiser for those who have been affected by cancer.

Each player, coach and spectator were invited to write names of loved ones and friends on a placard to hold up during a moment of silence in the middle of the third inning to honor their fight with their disease.

The Musketeers eventually won their game against Huntington, 3-1, and snapped a lengthy losing streak.
