Scientific Pioneers:  Central Islip Alumni or Community Members who made revolutionary discoveries that transformed our understanding of the world and led to advancements in science and technology. 

Philanthropists:  Central Islip Alumni or Community Members who have made significant financial contributions to support education, research, or other charitable causes, often leading to the creation or improvement of institutions and programs. 

Community Leaders:  Central Islip Alumni or Community Members who have dedicated their lives to serving their communities, advocating for social change, or fostering positive relationships, whose contributions have enriched the lives of the entire community. 

Founding Fathers/Mothers:  Central Islip Alumni or Community Members who have played a critical role in establishing an institution or organization, whose vision and leadership have shaped its growth and development.

Athletic Programs:  Central Islip Alumni or Community Members who have played a critical role in establishing local athletic programs for Central Islip youths.  The Central Islip Alumni or Community Member would have founded the program, volunteered in the role of coach, manager, facilitator, etc. over the course of a lifetime of working in that program making it available to children at little or no cost and not as an employee of the program.
