News12 Visits O'Neill Summer Enrichment Program

News 12 Long Island visited the Elementary Enrichment Summer School Program at O'Neill Elementary School on July 12, where students and their teachers shared their exciting Olympia Torch Ceremony.

Program Principal Mrs. Tracy Rentz explained this year's Olympics theme is in keeping with the global Olympics. Each day, students focus on a different nation as they perform their Torch Ceremony.

Classes lined the hallways with plastic torches they made in the beginning of the program while the children walked down the halls to applause, holding “USA” banners and waving at the younger students who cheered them on.

In addition to the procession, Ms. Aimee Prince and Ms. Teresa Campbells’ students sang “This Little Light of Mine” for News 12.
