Thanks, Middle School! Reed 8th Graders Graduate

Reed Middle School celebrated its eighth grade graduation at Suffolk Credit Union Arena on the campus of Suffolk County Community College on Friday, June 27.

The ceremony began as graduates entered the arena with faculty and staff, making their way to their assigned rows. Eighth grade student Christian Gomez Marquez led the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a performance of the National Anthem by Mr. Peter Ingoglia’s band.

Principal Mr. Anthony Coggiano welcomed everyone and offered congratulatory remarks before introducing Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sharon A. Dungee. Dr. Dungee echoed Mr. Coggiano’s sentiments and encouraged students to continue striving for excellence both in and out of the classroom.

Special guest speakers included Suffolk County Sheriff Dr. Errol D. Toulon Jr. and Central Islip alumnus Zen Ho Sang. Following their inspiring speeches, Mr. Coggiano presented awards to students in recognition of academic, athletic, and overall achievement.

Assistant Principal Dr. Nicole Lefferts announced each student to receive their diploma, which was presented by Mr. Coggiano and Assistant Principal Mr. Donald Bahr.

The Board of Education, Dr. Dungee, and the entire Central Islip community congratulate the Reed Middle School Class of 2025!
