Senior Spotlight: Leticia Kim

Activities, Clubs & Leadership Roles:
Stage Manager, Stage Crew; Varsity Badminton; Science National Honor Society; National Honor Society; Women to Women.

Most Meaningful Activity:
Stage Crew has meant the most to me because I had the opportunity to collaborate with my friends and be a part of the wonderful plays and musicals at Central Islip High School.

Plans After Graduation:
I plan on graduating from Harvard, attending medical school, becoming a plastic surgeon, and opening a private practice while possibly developing or researching surgical machinery.

Future Career Goals:
During my undergraduate years, I plan on studying Biomedical Engineering on the pre-med track and then attending medical school.

Staff Member Recognition:
Mr. Darren Ehrhardt—for his dedication to his students and priceless contributions to my journey throughout high school.

Role Model / Inspiration:
My grandfather—for his sacrifices and confidence in my ability to make generational changes.

What Central Islip Means to Me:
Being a part of Central Islip means striving for excellence in order to represent Central Islip well.

Proudest Accomplishment:
I am most proud of having learned how to stand up for myself, even in the face of those who threaten “authority” over me.

Advice for Underclassmen:
Define your version of success—everything else will surely follow.
