Senior Spotlight: Ijdsrobo Dudoh

Welcome to the 2026 Senior Spotlight series! This weekly feature will run every week until Central Islip High School's graduation ceremonies. Enjoy!

Senior Spotlight: Ijdsrobo Dudoh

Activities, Clubs & Leadership Roles:
National Honor Society – President; Show Choir – President; Islip Town NAACP – President; Science National Honor Society – Public Relations; Student Council – Fundraising Coordinator; CI Connects for Change – Executive Board Member; Women 2 Women – Member; Active musical and play performer; Concert Choir member; Superintendents Council; CI Connects for Change.

Most Meaningful Activity:
Women 2 Women has inspired young women like me to strive to make a difference in our community. Through this organization, I’ve realized my passion for becoming an OB/GYN so I can support, advocate for, and care for women in meaningful ways. And, of course, the free food every Thursday is definitely a bonus.

Plans After Graduation:
I want to first complete the undergraduate nursing program at St. Joseph’s University and then go to medical school to become an OB/GYN.

Future Career Goals:
I plan on studying nursing to become an OB/GYN.

Staff Member Recognition:
Mr. Pisano, Mrs. Mitchell, and Mr. Soldano have, by far, been some of my strongest advocates. A mentor is someone who speaks up for you even when you’re not in the room, and they have consistently shown that through their actions. They have always believed in me and never underestimated my abilities, despite the challenges and differences I face. Their support has played a meaningful role in my growth and confidence.

Role Model / Inspiration:
My sister—thank you for always driving me to these after-school events and making it possible for me to stay involved. And, like Leah said in her senior spotlight, I’d also like to thank myself.

What Central Islip Means to Me:
Being part of Central Islip means being part of a diverse community that uplifts and supports one another, creating a sense of unity, pride, and belonging.

Proudest Accomplishment:
Receiving the Presidential Grant for St. Joseph’s University.

Advice to Underclassmen:
Don’t compare yourself to others—your time will come. Stay focused and don’t get discouraged by the opportunities others receive, because that does not take away from your hard work, your progress, or what you are meant to achieve.
