Reed Students Stop the Bleed on Tuesday

Ms. Stephanie Lanzi's students at Reed Middle School were able to participate in a hands-on activity that could help them save a life for the second year in a row.

Representatives from Catholic Health Good Samaritan University Hospital came to visit to present, "Stop the Bleed," an instructional course that teaches students the primary principles of trauma care response.

Before beginning to pack the wound, they were asked to recite the, "ABCs of Bleeding," which are Alert, Bleeding, and Compress.
