Morrow Begins Winter Concert Season with Holiday Classics

Andrew T. Morrow Elementary School kicked off the 2025-26 Central Islip Music Department winter concert series on Tuesday night at Reed Middle School.

The Morrow chorus, led by Mrs. Andrea Majeski, began the night with three pieces: Red Bird by Teresa Jennings with featured instrumental pieces by Sebastian Silva Tapia, Chris Jammy Daniel, Shantal Sepulveta and Natalie Gonzalez-Gomez; Ugly Sweater by John Riggio that featured shouts by Jessia Rivas and Jordi Perez Guevara; and A Merry Holiday Medley arranged by Greg Gilpin.

Mr. Eduardo Lopez, Morrow band teacher, closed the evening with four holiday-themed selections: Reaching Higher by Brass Essential Elements; Au Claire De La Lune by Woodwinds Essential Elements; Jingles (Jingle Bell and Bell Carol) arranged by John McAllister; and Saxes We Have Heard On High arranged by Michael Story.

Dr. Sharon A. Dungee, Superintendent of Schools, was on hand to witness and applaud the Morrow students and teachers for their hard work and entertaining performances.
