Leah Bharat Earns Student of the Month

Congratulations to Leah Bharat, Central Islip High School senior, for being recognized as Student of the Month at Eastern Suffolk BOCES for her outstanding work in the medical assisting program.

Her top choices for college are Buffalo and Hofstra where she hopes to major in Biomedical Sciences or Biology.

"For my future career, I plan to go to medical school after completing my bachelor's degree with an interest in pathology, more specifically, forensic pathology and hematology," Bharat said. 

An active member of the student body, Bharat serves as president of the Future Nurses of America Club,  National Honor Society, is an AP Scholar with Honors and she earned the NYS Senate Youth Leadership Recognition Award.
