Flag Day Honored at Alfano
Alfano Elementary School played host to a special assembly on Friday morning in honor of Flag Day and the upcoming 250th anniversary of America's independence day. The program was organized by Mrs. Nicole Reynolds.
The assembly began with the Drama Club presenting Recipe for a Flag. Next, the fourth-grade students shared An American Flag Timeline, followed by Mrs. Rotunda’s Rising Readers with their presentation of This Flag We Fly.
The third-grade students then performed 50 Nifty, and the Pre-K students delighted the audience with You’re a Grand Old Flag. Following their performance, Mrs. Avila Young’s Math Group presented The Story of Our Flag. The audience then enjoyed a flute duet by Sophia Solares and Abigail Chancy.
The program concluded with a performance by the Alfano Step Team.
