CIFD Fire Prevention Week Information

The Central Islip School District is proud to partner once again with the Central Islip Fire Department for Fire Prevention Week, taking place from Sunday, October 5 through Saturday, October 11, 2025. Throughout the week, members of the Fire Department will visit our schools to teach students about the importance of fire safety and encourage participation in the annual Fire Prevention & Life Safety Poster Contest.

Fire Prevention Week will conclude with the Fire Department’s Annual Open House on Friday, October 10, 2025. Families are invited to attend and enjoy live fire safety demonstrations, exhibits, and educational activities. At this event, the Fire Department will also recognize students whose work was selected as winners of this year’s poster contest.

El Distrito Escolar de Central Islip se enorgullece de asociarse una vez más con el Departamento de Bomberos de Central Islip para la Semana de Prevención de Incendios, que se llevará a cabo desde el domingo 5 de octubre hasta el sábado 11 de octubre de 2025. A lo largo de la semana, los miembros del Departamento de Bomberos visitarán nuestras escuelas para enseñar a los estudiantes sobre la importancia de la seguridad contra incendios y fomentar la participación en el concurso anual de carteles de prevención de incendios y seguridad humana.

La Semana de Prevención de Incendios concluirá con la casa abierta anual en el Departamento de Bomberos el viernes 10 de octubre de 2025. Se invita a las familias a asistir y disfrutar de demostraciones, exhibiciones y actividades educativas de seguridad contra incendios en vivo. En este evento, el Departamento de Bomberos también reconocerá a los estudiantes cuyo trabajo fue seleccionado como ganadores del concurso de carteles de este año.
