Central Islip Class of 2026 Celebrated

Central Islip High School celebrated its newest graduating class on Friday, June 26, at the Suffolk Federal Credit Union Arena on the campus of Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood.

Before students received their diplomas, the high school’s wind ensemble performed the processional, “Pomp and Circumstance,” before seniors David Solomon and Daphne Vaisman sang the national anthem.

Speeches were made by Mr. Eric Haruthunian, principal; Dr. Sharon A. Dungee, superintendent of schools; Mr. Luis Alcantara, Board of Education president; Lehila Cribe, senior class president; Pharez Varlack, keynote speaker; Kamila Sarmiento Romero, salutatorian; and Leticia Kim, valedictorian.

The Board of Education, Central Administration, high school faculty and the Central Islip community congratulate the Class of 2026!
