Athletics Welcomes All for Annual Senior Awards

The Central Islip High School athletic department welcomed its senior student-athletes and their families to the gymnasium on Monday, June 9, for its end-of-year Senior Awards Dinner and Awards Night.

Mr. John Piropato, Interim Director of Athletics, introduced each varsity coach to the podium as coaching staffs spoke about their teams before they recognized their athletes with a Coaches Award and an MVP plaque.

The ceremony also included a special recognition for five coaches who are retiring at the end of the school year: Paul Venturi, Andre Murphy, Noel Rivera, Delia Hopkins, and Christian Pisano Sr. Each coach was presented with a "CI" varsity letter in honor of their years of service to the district.
