74 Reed Students Achieve Proficiency on NYSESLAT Exam

Dr. Sharon A. Dungee, Superintendent of Schools, and Marilin Gutierrez, Administrator of Bilingual, ENL, and World Languages, joined Reed principal Mr. Coggiano to congratulate 74 students who tested proficient on the NYSESLAT Exam and achieved impressive bilingual skills.

"On average, it takes five to seven years to test proficient," Migdalia Cruz, Reed counselor, said. "In spite of these challenges, they have obtained a goal that will only help them succeed in both school and their personal lives. Their success is not only a reflection of their hard work, but also of our teachers and staff who have helped them along their journey."
