Morrow Welcomes Julia Bremer

Ms. Julia Bremer has been appointed as an elementary school music teacher. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the Department of Music at the LIU Post Old Brookville campus. Ms. Bremer is an accomplished vocal performer with over 14 years of training in classical, contemporary, musical theater, and jazz music.
Upon the recommendation of Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sharon A. Dungee and unanimous appointment by the Board of Education, Ms. Bremer will be teaching chorus and general music education at Mulligan Elementary School and general music education at Morrow Elementary School.
Before her appointment to Mulligan and Morrow elementary schools, Ms. Bremer served as a leave replacement substitute teacher at Mulvey and Mulligan elementary schools during the 2023-2024 school year. Before coming to Central Islip School District, she was a general music leave replacement in the Rockville Centre School District. Ms. Bremer also taught music to students attending the Love to Sing Summer Camp during the summer of 2024.
When asked to share her thoughts about her appointment as a music teacher in the Central Islip Music Department, Ms. Bremer stated, "I fell in love with Central Islip School District so much so that I wanted to stay here to teach. I am thrilled and very eager to start making music with my students and to be able to give the gift of music back to the community."
In her spare time, Ms. Bremer is a visual artist who enjoys drawing, gardening, and caring for her mini zoo of adopted rescue pets.
