He is actively involved in his church, where he plays guitar with his youth group during services.

Juan plans to become a mechanical engineer. He has been accepted to SUNY Buffalo, Buffalo State, Texas State University, the University of Hartford, Florida Institute of Technology, New York Tech, Manhattan College, and his first choice—Clarkson University in Potsdam.

He would like to give a shout-out to a few of his teachers: Mr. Ryan and Ms. Schmalacker. He also names his sister, Isis, as his role model.

When asked what being a member of Team Musketeer means to him, Juan said:
“Being a Musketeer means being part of a team and being willing to work with people. Musketeers have a sense of pride and community, working together to benefit others and our community as a whole.”
