Miss Rubio spent time at Cold Spring Harbor engaging in hands-on experiments. She explained: “We worked with DNA science to extract DNA, and we used enzymes to do experiments with the cells. We also did gel electrophoresis and bacterial transformations.”
She plans to attend the State University of New York at Farmingdale and aspires to become a pharmacist.
Asked what being a Musketeer means to her, Miss Rubio thoughtfully responded:
“Being a Musketeer means you have to be someone who makes good decisions, someone who is reliable and shows accountability, and someone who is responsible. To be a Musketeer means to have social awareness.”
Miss Rubio would like to give shout-outs to her role model teachers: Mrs. Roderick, Ms. Cicero, and Mr. Soldano. Outside of school, her mother is her role model.
