Miss Umar is involved in a wide array of humanitarian efforts and activities within her community. She donates clothing to her masjid, House of Worship, and actively helps collect food to keep the local pantry stocked for those in need. She also volunteers with toy drives, helping to bring smiles to the community’s younger residents.

Miss Umar plans to attend either SUNY Stony Brook or Suffolk County Community College. Upon successful completion of her coursework, she hopes to pursue a career as a radiologist.

Her role model in school is her teacher, Mr. Haley. To Miss Umar, being a Musketeer means, in her words, “Being able to connect with others — especially with friends and with teachers.”
