Latina Mentoring Initiative hosts successful "Dress to Impress" prom event

On Tuesday, May 13, the Latina Mentoring Initiative proudly hosted a "Dress to Impress" prom event, offering our high school students an unforgettable opportunity to choose from an extensive selection of prom attire and accessories. Students explored racks of stunning dresses and tables filled with shoes, clutch bags, and jewelry. Our male students also enjoyed selecting from a wide array of suits, ties, and dress shirts.

This event was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association (LIHBA). LIHBA’s donations included brand-new dresses, clutches, ties, and stylish jewelry—transforming our students' prom experience. We are deeply grateful for our ongoing partnership with LIHBA, whose contributions allowed our Central Islip students to "shop till they dropped" and feel confident and celebrated on prom night.

A heartfelt thank you to LIHBA for making this meaningful event a reality and for supporting our mission to uplift and empower students through the Latina Mentoring Initiative.
