Multiple Schools Participate in Suffolk Zone Fit Challenge

Three Central Islip Elementary Schools (Cordello, Morrow and Mulvey) were all participants in the 2025 Suffolk Zone Fit Challenge on Friday at Lincoln Avenue Elementary School in Sayville, N.Y. 

According to the group’s website, the Suffolk Zone’s Fit Club aims to equip students with the skills, resources, training, and confidence needed to lead a healthier lifestyle, while also encouraging them to overcome challenging physical activities.

All three CI schools in attendance were represented by each physical education department teachers, including Ms. Trish Lectora, director of physical education and athletics.
