Message from the Superintendent - Moving Up and Graduation Ceremonies 2025
Dear Central Islip Families,
As we close out another school year, I would like to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support, encouragement, and trust. It has been a year of growth, achievement, and togetherness. Whether your child is stepping up, moving on, or graduating, each milestone represents the heart of our shared commitment to the children of Central Islip.
This year, we celebrate not only academic success, but also the resilience, kindness, and character that our students continue to demonstrate every day. Thank you for being our partners in nurturing a school community built on respect, love, and learning.

As we head into summer, I encourage our families to take time to rest, enjoy, and continue learning in fun, everyday ways. Whether you’re reading a good book together, visiting a local museum, or simply talking during a family walk, those moments matter.
Thank you for being a vital part of our school community. Have a safe, peaceful, and joyful summer. As Jenny Han once said:
“Everything good, everything magical, happens between the months of June and August!”
Warmly,
Dr. Sharon A. Dungee
