Celebrating Cultures! Alfano Hosts Multicultural Assembly

Ahead of next week's multicultural night at Alfano, students were treated to a building-wide assembly on Thursday morning to preview the special night to come.

Mrs. Carmen Vazquez, Alfano principal, welcomed the students and introduced each act. 

To begin the assembly, Mrs. Zara's fifth and sixth grade chorus students sang a special rendition of This Land Is Your Land.

Next, Mrs. Morezzi and Mrs. Adames' pre-kindergarten students performed So Many Colors to celebrate diversity in our schools.

The next performance featured two students, Camila and Gallalea, danced Bachata to Eres Mia by Romeo Santos.

To close, Mrs. Reynold's third and fourth grade drama club performed the Mexican hat dance after each student individually spoke about the significance and origins of the dance.
