Chris Carlozzo, LMSW, was invited to speak at Island Harvest’s “Stamp Out Hunger” kickoff event on Wednesday, April 23, at the organization’s headquarters in Melville.
Miss Umar is involved in a wide array of humanitarian efforts and activities within her community. She donates clothing to her masjid, House of Worship, and actively helps collect food to keep the local pantry stocked for those in need. She also volunteers with toy drives, helping to bring smiles to the community’s younger residents.
Miss Williams is involved in numerous activities throughout her school community. She is the Color Guard captain for the Central Islip High School Marching Band, president of the National Honor Society, and a member of the STEP Team, Sweet Adelines, and the Action Committee. She also serves on the Women 2 Women executive board and plays flute in the Wind Ensemble
